Our Latest Update

August 23rd, 2021

Patient Ombudsman is pleased to launch our second Special Report on the COVID-19 pandemic. This report is a summary of the COVID-19 related complaints that came to our office from July 1st, 2020, to April 30th 2021.

“The best way to honour the voices of those who shared their concerns is to learn from their experiences. As we exit this phase of the crisis, we heard that sidelining of essential caregivers had a seriously negative impact on the health and welfare of patients, residents and their families. We must learn to respond to any future healthcare crisis in a way that recognizes the importance of caregivers to our healthcare system.”
(Craig Thompson, Patient Ombudsman)
